1st May 2012
My goodness its May already and its raining again for a change - no worries, big changes are afoot with the promised shop opening
and the announcement of an entirely new and revamped Bowerhouse magazine!.
For the uninformed: Bowerhouse will be a homage to the Amazing Martin Bower who many sci-fi fans will know
built many of the models for the Gerry Anderson shows and major Sci-fiction feature films, all of which will be covered in
articles in a new e-magazines format.
Martins fantastic model making skills will be show-cased with many amusing anecdotes and episodes of his life as a professional model builder.
Bowerhouse will also be encouraging Sci-fi amateur model builders to submit photographs of your models to appear in the magazine.
Details of the conditions and timings will be posted in this exciting mag soon.
Some of you guys have been wondering what happens to visuals of the concepts I am asked to illustrate: so here is an example of what happens.
Below is a link to the Thorn lighting stand I did earlier this year and the eventual finished article- enjoy!

The finished result: This can be seen in the BBC's focus magazine explaining how modern ships have technology
that the Titanic could only have dreampt of. Enjoyable job

A revision to this news site is about to happen. Things are taking far too long to load in this site as the volume of work fills the
site too quickly, my rule of thumb was to take things off the top and archive them once they had been up for a year.
I now realise that even that is too much and will be only keeping news here for 6-9 months to speed up the loading
process, I will obviously shift the old stuff to "archived news" but now realise that even that will have to be truncated.
I will let you guys know in due course.
